Kimball History

The Kimball Piano and Organ Company was founded in Chicago in 1857 by William Wallace Kimball.  In 1957 Van Allen Bradley, a columnist for the Chicago Daily News, wrote a history of the company, titled "Music for the Millions".

Shortly after the publication of this book the Kimball Piano and Organ Company was bought by the Jasper Corporation of Jasper, Indiana. Kimball's operation was moved to a new facility in West Baden Springs, Indiana.  Kimball Organs were produced at a factory on 15th Street in Jasper.

After the purchase of Kimball, the Jasper Corporation changed its name to Kimball Piano and Organ and eventually to Kimball International.

We have a few copies of this book available for sale for US$20.00.  These are used copies in good condition.  They may or may not have the dust jacket.
